LARAC stands for Local Authority Recycling Advisory Committee, and is the leading national local authority organisation promoting waste reduction and recycling. We have 429 members from authorities in England, Scotland, Northern Ireland and Wales. We aim to facilitate the exchange of information on waste reduction and recycling throughout local government and with other organisations; provide expert responses to national, European and private sector initiatives and assist others with technical information and advice to promote best practice in waste management.

LARAC/Defra New Technologies Training Programme

Following on from the highly successful New Technologies Training course that formed part of Defra’s New Technologies Supporter Programme; Enviros Consulting, on behalf of LARAC, is offering a thoroughly comprehensive training programme which examines the implications of the use of a range of new waste treatment technologies on the activities of the Waste Collection Authority.

Combining practical management theory and principles with a well established style of delivery, this training programme focuses on the implications of new waste treatment technologies for Waste Collection Authorities.
