Job Reference:EE202

We recognise that businesses don’t do business – people do business.  We also believe that work is what you do it is not a place.  We know that you want more than a job – you want to make a difference.  We also know that you have more to offer than your current role permits, but above all, we know that you will have a driving ambition to be the best.  We are also one of the fastest improving councils around and we have just become the very first organisation of any type to achieve the Investors in People at Gold standard at first registration.

We have recently implemented a whole service change within our recycling and waste collection service which aligns the service with the Council’s Integrated Municipal Waste Management Strategy.  We have introduced more recycling, including separate weekly food collections and garden waste recycling to all our residents and adopted new ways of working to make the service fit for purpose and reduce our costs.  We are looking for an innovative individual to manage and develop the service.

An environmental qualification is essential, as well as being able to demonstrate experience of recycling and waste strategy, dealing with major contracts and maintaining collaborative relationships with internal and external partners.

You must have a current valid driving licence.
