Salary: Up to £28,137 pa
South Bucks District Council is looking for an enthusiastic person to help us meet our stretching county-wide recycling and composting target of 60% by 2025, and in doing so make our district cleaner and greener. Working towards the actions identified in the Waste Strategy for Buckinghamshire and the Council’s own service plan, you will initiate new and communicate exisitng schemes to the 27,000 properties in our semi-rural district.
This post has the responsibility on a day-to-day basis, of dealing with enquiries, promoting and improving the Council’s current and proposed recycling, composting and waste minimisation initiatives, monitoring data and equipment levels and assisting with the development of longer term plans. The postholder will be environmentally aware and keen to make a significant improvement to our services and develop the way the Council provides them.
Preferably with a degree or equivalent in Waste Management or related field and experience of dealing with recycling, the postholder should also also have experience of organising meetings and publicity with excellent communication, interpersonal and IT skills.
