Description: ROTATE is WRAP’s (Waste & Resources Action Programme) highly regarded advisory team supporting local authorities in developing their recycling services.

Parliament is expected to approve legislation in the autumn giving authority for up to 5 pilot schemes in England to test the use of incentive schemes to increase recycling rates. WRAP has been asked by the Government to provide advice to all authorities interested in running a pilot on the design of their schemes and to provide project management for the approved pilots.  We now need a project manager with the vision and experience to shape these trials, to ensure they are designed and delivered to a high standard and are fully evaluated.

You will need to demonstrate experience of successful project management in a complex environment as well as a good understanding of local government decision making processes and some experience of local authority waste and recycling services. You will be a confident presenter to external audiences and have excellent influencing skills.

WRAP would be happy to consider a secondment opportunity for a suitably experienced candidate.

We offer 25 days holiday (pro rata), access to an employee assistance programme. As a fixed term contract, the salary offered is inclusive of an amount in lieu of benefits available to permanent employees.  For further details and to apply, please complete an application form on-line via the WRAP website and send it to linda.fell@wrap.org.uk.  On-line applications are preferred.  No agencies or CVs thank you.

Closing date for applications: Thursday 28 August 2008, 5pm.
First interviews will be held w/c 8 September 2008.
