Description: Our client, Project Managers, work throughout the world on Public and Private sector infrastructure developments.  Within the UK the Waste Team have requirements for Transactors to work at the most senior level within the waste sector supporting the closure of PFI/PPP contracts.  As a Waste Industry specialist you will be a charismatic, knowledgeable person with many years' experience working with Contractors, the Public Sector or Consultancies supporting the delivery of Waste Infrastructure projects.  The role is highly specialised and requires heavyweight candidates with a depth and breadth of experience that allows you to facilitate the closure of multi million pound contracts.  You will be politically astute, with a clear handle on the requirements of both Contractors and Councils at potentially very tricky stages of the procurement process.  Technically you will be knowledgeable and well versed in new technologies as well as understanding the waste industry as a whole.

Our client, a dynamic Construction and Project Management Company, work throughout the UK and internationally supporting all areas of Public and Private sector infrastructure development.  Focusing on the project management of the procurement process in the UK , they must now recruit candidates to support the development of Disposal Infrastructure with Local Authorities and Contractors.  The specific role in a project could commence at the start of a procurement process or potentially well into the project.  You must therefore be able to gain the respect of the various stakeholders in the project demonstrating your neutrality, technical ability and total focus on the project goals.  As a result, all candidates must be people focused with the ability to liaise with Clients in a partnered role developing very strong working relationships. 

Two levels of experience are required:  We require more experienced candidates with technical and commercial strengths to help build the business and then manage the work load as it starts to develop.  Additionally we require less experienced candidates to work in a project management capacity "on site" and in partnership with the Client.  Candidates must have experience working with Local Authorities on PFI/PPP procurement projects in either a technical or bidding role.  All candidates must be very people focused with the ability to liaise with Clients in a partnered role developing very strong working relationships.  Any candidates with PRINCE 2 qualifications in Project Management would be very interesting to talk to.  These are going to be very exciting times for this company as they develop into the waste sector and any candidates joining now will gain some excellent experience.  Ref: N4027.
