This leading Operator requires a competent Manager to run a state of the art MRF and associated TS and CA site. Applicants will ideally hold COTC TMN4 but this is not essential. You will be responsible ensuring these facilities are run in a safe, compliant and profitable manner. The company is also seeking an electrical fitter who has experience within the waste industry to include familiarity with fault diagnosis/maintenance of conveyor belts, picking lines etc.

Description: We are helping this reputable waste management operator to recruit an Environmental Scientist. In this role you will be responsible for maintaining environmental compliance with legislation and company environmental policy on operational and closed landfill sites with particular regard to landfill gas management. You will carry out regular audits and produce landfill gas reviews, assessments and reports, liaising with internal and external personnel where necessary. Previous experience in a similar role is essential to include an up to date knowledge of legislation and guidance relating to landfill gas.

Position: Waste Technology Manager
Location: London

Description: Our client, an International Property Group has the requirement for a Waste Technology Manager. You will be responsible for running the search for and securing a viable treatment technology partner/s for the development of both PFI and merchant waste facilities. The role will involve: Detailed assessments of likely leading technologies; the evaluation of the commercial viability of treatment technologies; auditing existing operations and technical solutions; an ongoing responsibility for delivering the technical solutions used by the client in its future PFI and merchant treatment facilities. The candidate would preferably have the following experience/qualifications: A degree and professional institute qualification in engineering (mechanical or chemical); experience working in design and process engineering; operational experience in building and operating a complex process facility; experience in the waste and/or power industry would be desirable but is not essential; combined experience of 10 years (in process engineering and operations role) is expected as is commercial acumen in negotiating key supply contracts.
