Description: Our client, one of the leading sponsor/operators in the UK is looking to appoint a Bid Director to support and develop bids for both public sector (Local Authorities – municipal waste - PFI) and private sector (Merchant waste – commercial & industrial – PF) waste management projects. The successful candidate will have extensive knowledge of the UK Waste management industry; will have a proven track record in leading and winning bids for long term complex projects; and will have previous experience of working with both Local Authorities and private sector firms. The role will be based in London.

’s leading metal recycling company’s. As they continue to develop and grow, they require another Environmental Coordinator to ensure compliance and support the drive for EHS improvement. Your role will involve auditing the operations - identifying areas for improvement and implementing action plans. You will investigate problems, liaise with local regulators and process routine applications for permits and authorisations. You will be continually developing your knowledge and awareness of environmental law and best practice as it relates to the metal recycling industry. You will be required to undertake extensive travel within the South East.

The role involves sampling wastes arriving at the site and ensuring compliance with waste acceptance criteria. You will be required to test samples and should be comfortable in and around a laboratory. Candidates should have a degree in Chemistry or Environmental Science. Some site based waste experience would be very useful, but candidates who can demonstrate a willingness to learn and aptitude for the role would be welcome to apply.
