Description: A leading supplier of capital equipment to the recycling sector is looking to recruit a Business Development Manager to take responsibility for developing the sales of an interesting range of "bespoke" solutions urgently needed by the waste industry.  The company has strategic alliances with specialist designers and manufacturers worldwide and offers tailored solutions, with local installation and after sales support. 

The company has a comprehensive portfolio of  Specialist equipment  such as NIR and Camera separation technology, Metal Separation, Screens (Ballistic, Star type, Oscillation and Trommel.) Glass processing Technology for both single stream and source separated material.

The successful candidate will work closely with the company's extensive design and engineering team producing bespoke solutions for clients.  Applications are invited from candidates, ideally with an engineering background and previous experience in selling to the waste sector.  A strong working knowledge of current and future legislation affecting the management and disposal of waste is essential.  Remuneration will reflect the level of relevant experience exhibited by the candidate together with business development capabilities.

Landfill is increasingly being seen as an unsustainable option, one which is being economically and environmentally discouraged. It is widely estimated that over the next 10 + years some £15bn worth of investment is required in the UK to improve and enhance the existing waste management infrastructure. This additional capacity could be in terms of waste; handling, movement, segregation, diversion or disposal.  WasteRecruit are working with one of the leading Project Management companies in the UK, providing programme and project management skills to the public and private sector – helping them shape, validate and deliver complex waste strategies and infrastructure procurement projects.
