Keep Britain Tidy has an exciting new opportunity for an exceptional individual to work with our Centre for Social Innovation to develop and deliver solutions that reduce waste and increase recycling.

We are an independent environmental charity with three goals – to eliminate litter, improve public spaces and end waste. Our Waste Services team works with local authorities and other organisations to manage waste better. 2016 was a great year for us – we helped half a million households to reduce, reuse and recycle. Our engagement campaigns increased food waste recycling by up to 30% and we were shortlisted for Team of the Year at the National Recycling Awards 2017.

We are now looking for an individual who will lead our plans to develop innovative solutions to waste and recycling issues and secure new work by proactively marketing our services.

As our Waste Services Manager you must be able to demonstrate an effective track record in identifying potential income-generating and funding sources, creating concepts, submitting proposals and winning bids and funds from local authorities (or equivalent). You will be an effective project manager, have experience in generating and managing a budget of circa £600k per annum and have previously worked in the environmental /waste sector.

You will be based in the heart of central London (close to Covent Garden), with regular regional travel.

Keep Britain Tidy offers a range of employee benefits, including flexibility and development opportunities. As part of our investment in staff the successful candidate will be supported to work towards CIWM Chartered Waste Manager status.
